The Island of Misfits

I wanted to make something at feature scale with no crew, no studio and no budget - and still hold a cinematic bar across sixteen acts, sixteen songs and a single continuous story about belonging and difference.

1. 01I wrote the through-line first: one story about being cast out, broken into sixteen acts that each stand alone as a short film and still build the feature when watched in order.
2. 02I wrote, produced and mixed every song, scoring to picture so the music and the cut land on the same beat rather than one chasing the other.
3. 03I built the visual language act by act, mixing stop-motion animation I shot by hand with an AI generation pipeline (Google Flow for shots, Suno for music beds), holding one world across wildly different techniques.
4. 04I cut, sound-designed and colour-finished each act in Premiere Pro, then released them as standalone films while the feature assembly continues.
5. 05I treated the pipeline as the real deliverable: an act-by-act system that makes the remaining acts a production schedule instead of a rebuild every time.

• Three acts released and public - Act I: The Melt, Act II: The Velvet Nightmare and Act III: The Last Snowman - with the remaining thirteen in the same pipeline toward the full feature.
• Sixteen original songs written, produced and mixed as the spine of the film, not as soundtrack dressed on afterwards.
• A working demonstration of an AI-enabled creative practice: traditional craft (writing, songwriting, stop motion, Premiere Pro) and AI generation used together, with a single creative holding narrative, visual design and post.
• A repeatable act structure that lets the project ship continuously instead of waiting for a finished feature.
